Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to residents, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Document patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR) as required by facility policy.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs throughout the weekend shift.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or home health is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
