Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, compassionate care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist residents with mobility issues, including transferring and walking, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
  • Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding resident health changes and daily activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff.
  • Document all care activities and observations in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid California CNA License (CNA I or II).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift residents as needed.
  • Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as scheduled.
