Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance (ADLs).
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist licensed nurses with procedures, treatments, and the operation of medical equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to strict dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient room and common areas.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations.
- Support patient mobility and transfer using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and active in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 50 pounds.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and comfort.
- Reliable attendance and a proven track record of punctuality.
