Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient health status accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with nurses and medical staff regarding patient changes or needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment at all times.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Indiana.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid ID.
