Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration rate) accurately.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure safety.
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following hospital protocols.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and flexible shift schedules.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
