Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration rate) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure safety.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and flexible shift schedules.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
