Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Mobility Support: Help patients with ambulation, transfers, and wheelchair usage to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports changes in condition to nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Sanitation: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and sanitized according to infection control protocols.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification or willingness to obtain one (we offer guidance).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with the elderly or medically vulnerable.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and notice subtle changes in a patient's condition.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
