Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers using proper techniques and equipment
- Administer medications under RN supervision and maintain medication logs
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs with empathy
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and staff meetings
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in medical terminology
- Pass background check and drug screening per facility requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
