Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparationMonitor client health status and report changes to care team
- Administer prescribed medications and medical treatments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Maintain detailed care documentation and client records
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation with auto insurance
- Passionate about elderly care and patient advocacy
- Background check and drug screening required
