Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying)
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to RN supervisor
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance patient quality of life
- Assist with medication reminders and appointment transportation
- Maintain accurate care documentation and follow care plans
Qualifications
- Indiana HHA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
