As a Home Health Aide, you will be the bridge between our patients and the medical care they need, providing comfort, dignity, and companionship in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and depression.
- Administer medications and remind clients to take their prescriptions at scheduled times.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments and social activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and assist clients (up to 50 lbs).
