Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe mobility support.
- Medication Management: Promptly remind clients to take their prescribed medications and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that adhere to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities and conversation to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and recreational activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current, valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or personal caregiving is a plus but not mandatory.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping seniors.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
