Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care in assigned clinical settings including ICU, ER, Med-Surg, and specialty units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in EMR systems
- Monitor patient status and respond to critical changes with appropriate interventions
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and JCAHO regulations
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois (IL RN license required)
- BSN degree or equivalent nursing program certification
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience in relevant specialty
- BLS, ACLS, and any specialty-specific certifications (e.g., PALS, TNCC)
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays
