Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA compliance protocols
- Perform digital radiography and chairside dental impressions
- Manage patient charts using Eaglesoft software and digital records systems
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and inventory management for dental supplies
- Assist in emergency dental procedures with calm efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Valid Texas state dental assistant registration
