Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and cosmetic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and manage patient records
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Manage inventory and ordering of dental supplies
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and aftercare
- Coordinate with insurance companies and billing department
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings
