Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using precise instrumentation
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Take digital dental impressions and process radiographs
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records
- Administer anesthesia monitoring and post-op care
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols
- Coordinate inventory and supply chain management
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification (DANB or RDA)
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft and Dexis software
- CPR/BLS certification and infection control training
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously
- High school diploma or equivalent required
