Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, surgeries, and cleanings with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our dental management software.
- Ensure the reception area and treatment rooms are clean, organized, and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB RDA is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Proficiency with dental software and equipment.
