Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize instruments/equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Take accurate patient medical histories and vital signs
- Provide chairside assistance with proper isolation techniques
- Manage digital charting and practice management software
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification and X-ray license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
