Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during dental procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Manage patient records and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Provide post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control protocols
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from accredited Dental Assisting program
- Current DANB certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
