Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, and materials to ensure patient readiness.
- Assist the dentist during procedures, providing hand instruments and maintaining a clear field of vision.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Instruct patients on post-operative and general oral health care.
- Manage infection control protocols, including sterilization and disinfecting instruments.
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
