Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital and traditional X-ray equipment
- Perform infection control protocols including sterilization and instrument processing
- Manage patient scheduling, digital charting, and insurance documentation
- Provide chairside assistance and post-operative care instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain inventory of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current California Dental Board Radiography certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
