Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support and instrument management
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient scheduling, records, and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Order and inventory dental supplies while controlling costs
- Assist in front desk operations including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA license)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
- Experience with Dentrix/Eaglesoft software preferred
