Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Take accurate dental radiographs and assist with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital chart documentation
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene techniques
- Order inventory and maintain efficient supply management systems
- Assist in financial discussions and treatment plan presentations
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant License or RDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certification in radiography and infection control protocols
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dental clinical software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
