Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per OSHA standards
- Take dental X-rays and perform preliminary oral assessments
- Manage patient records using our digital dental software
- Coordinate treatment plans and post-operative care instructions
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory control
- Provide chairside support during complex procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Louisiana Dental Assistant License
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic CPR/BLS certification
- Valid Louisiana state radiography permit
