Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital and traditional X-ray equipment
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining strict OSHA compliance protocols
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations through seamless chairside assistance
- Administer infection control measures and maintain clinical supply inventory
- Provide compassionate patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Manage digital patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license required
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis, Sirona) practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Current CPR certification and willingness to obtain additional certifications
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
