Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry and surgical operations
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records and chairside charting with digital systems
- Administer infection control protocols and maintain operatory sterility
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage supply chain for dental materials
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional chairside assisting and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
