Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols per OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient records using digital software (Epic or Dentrix experience preferred)
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply organization
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Valid DANB radiology certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Proficiency with dental imaging software and practice management systems
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions and team collaboration
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Georgia state dental radiology license required
