Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Perform sterilization and disinfection protocols for all instruments/equipment
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and instruments before patient appointments
- Provide post-procedure instructions and compassionate patient education
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant Radiography License (RDA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical dental assisting experience
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current status)
- Proficiency in dental charting software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA and dental infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills and patient demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
