Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Capture diagnostic X-rays and intraoral images using digital radiography systems
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital charting in Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for daily procedures
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Minnesota Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry setting
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-rays) and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
