Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including sterilizing instruments and setting up trays
- Assist dentists during procedures, including passing instruments and suctioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing inquiries
- Maintain strict infection control standards and clinic sanitation
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Order inventory and manage dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency with digital X-ray systems and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
