Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) according to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and prepare treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current and active RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical dental assisting experience preferred.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and four-handed dentistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume dental office.
