Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the lead dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and precision.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures, answering questions, and maintaining a calming atmosphere.
- Charting & Documentation: Accurately update patient charts, medical histories, and treatment plans using our digital software.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization, disinfection, and safety protocols.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and set up dental materials before procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage front desk reception tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
Qualifications
- Certification: CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) required; graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Licensure: Current state radiography license and CPR/BLS certification.
- Skills: Proficient in four-handed dentistry, digital charting, and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, patient-focused demeanor.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
