Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures with precision and care.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Prepare patients for exams and educate them on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and general oral health maintenance.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensure the dental office maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for all staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Current certification or license as a Dental Assistant (CDA preferred).
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Valid state radiology certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical dental setting (1+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
