Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform sterilization and instrument maintenance following OSHA protocols
- Take digital radiographs and assist with intraoral photography
- Manage patient flow and chairside assistance during examinations
- Maintain accurate dental records and inventory management systems
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
- Coordinate treatment plans and insurance verification processes
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DAEFCC or DANB)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with dental software (Epic, Dentrix, or similar)
- Exceptional chairside manner and infection control expertise
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability including some evenings/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
