Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including patient preparation, instrument sterilization, and material handling
- Perform chairside duties such as suctioning, taking dental impressions, and placing rubber dams
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems with accuracy
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure compliance with OSHA/CDC protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and scheduling to maximize efficiency
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental management software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including evenings and Saturdays
