Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with a high degree of proficiency.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, prepare them for procedures, and explain post-operative care instructions clearly.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Dental Radiography: Take and develop high-quality X-rays (panoramas, periapicals) ensuring patient safety and image clarity.
- Charting & Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient dental records using our practice management software.
- Supply Management: Monitor and restock clinical instruments, supplies, and materials to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
- Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant License (state of NV) is required.
- CPR Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- License: Valid driverβs license and clean driving record (as applicable for office errands).
