Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA and CDC protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient flow, including room turnover, inventory management, and supply ordering
- Administer chairside support during treatments and maintain accurate patient records
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid California dental radiography permit
