Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare patients and dental instruments while maintaining strict sterilization protocols
- Take accurate dental X-rays and develop radiographs for diagnosis
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Deliver post-procedure care instructions and oral hygiene education
- Coordinate inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Schedule appointments and manage front desk operations
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or X-ray license required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Exceptional chairside assisting and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification required
