Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support and instrument passing
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records using digital systems (EHR experience preferred)
- Provide chairside comfort and education to anxious patients
- Order inventory and maintain organized supply management systems
- Coordinate scheduling and seamless patient flow between appointments
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient comfort
