Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, review medical histories, and prepare patients for treatment with comfort and professionalism.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and sanitation standards in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and process insurance claims accurately.
- Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Dental Assisting program is preferred.
- Certification: Current DANB (CDA) certification or equivalent state license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Licensure: Valid California Dental Assistant license.
- Skills: Proficient in four-handed dentistry, digital radiography, and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
