Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, and materials according to strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, surgeries, and cleanings, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Perform chair-side assisting tasks, including handing instruments and applying dental materials.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and maintain accurate documentation in our digital EHR system.
- Provide clear post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a dental office setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on patient service and empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform detailed manual dexterity tasks.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records (EHR).
