Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic applications
- Prepare patients for treatment with chairside support and comfort measures
- Perform sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant instrument processing
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and update digital charts accurately
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring (certification required)
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule efficient appointment transitions
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Arizona Dental Assistant radiology license or eligibility
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- BLS/CPR certification maintained throughout employment
- Exceptional chairside manner and infection control expertise
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
