Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Manage infection control and sterilization of equipment per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal dental supply inventory
- Document patient information and maintain digital dental records
- Provide compassionate patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and handle front desk duties
Qualifications
- No prior dental experience required – we provide paid training!
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Basic computer literacy for dental software systems
- Valid NJ Dental Radiography Certification (will assist with obtaining)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
