Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital equipment
- Sterilize instruments and maintain sterile clinical environments
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using Dentrix software
- Provide post-procedure care instructions and patient education
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental materials before procedures
- Assist with infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary – training provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency for dental software
- Current CPR certification (training available if needed)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
