Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Manage patient records and schedule coordination using practice management software
- Monitor infection control procedures and OSHA compliance standards
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create patient rapport
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
