Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using precise instrument handling
- Prepare and sterilize dental equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental X-rays and develop high-quality diagnostic images
- Manage patient scheduling and digital chart updates in Dentrix software
- Deliver post-procedure care instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 8-chair practice
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- 2+ years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
