Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop digital dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Monitor patient vitals and administer local anesthesia when necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification and Florida State Licensure.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
