Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal sterilization protocols (OSHA/CDC compliance)
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical operations
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Ohio Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current immunization records
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
