Responsibilities
- Prepare Patients: Explain procedures, take vital signs, and prepare the patient for dental treatments.
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Diagnostics: Capture and process intraoral and extraoral radiographs (X-rays) accurately.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Record Keeping: Update patient charts, maintain accurate treatment records, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Patient Education: Provide clear post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education to patients.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Certification: DANB certification or RDA license preferred.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical dental assisting experience is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor.
