Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments using 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Document patient care accurately in digital records
- Order and maintain dental supplies inventory
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- CPR certification (or willingness to complete training)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform precise manual tasks
- Strong communication skills and patient empathy
- Attention to detail in clinical documentation
- Experience with Eaglesoft or DentalWorks software preferred
- Valid Louisiana dental radiography license
