Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging technology
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide chairside support and post-operative care instructions
- Order inventory and maintain supply chain efficiency
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and software systems
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 1 year experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong interpersonal skills with patient-first mentality
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
- Tennessee dental radiography permit (or eligible to apply)
